our story

the journey

“ my journey began with a suspicion that the East might well offer answers to questions about my health. I had lived with severe neck and back pain and low energy for many years and was looking for something more profound than pain killers.

I spent 5 years studying in Japan, India and Sri lanka learning the healing ways of the East. Eastern approaches to health and in particular yoga helped me to heal my body and understand myself on a much deeper level.

When I returned to the UK I wanted to create a yoga studio where I could share the knowledge I had learned, create a supportive yoga community and support and mentor yoga teachers.

Now 11 years on Yoga Kula is a thriving business with welcoming yoga studio’s in Chapel Allerton and Leeds city centre both open 7 days a week , a highstreet yoga shop, a 300 Hour 18 month Teacher Training Course, International Retreats Programme and a strong offer for companies wanting to bring yoga into the workplace ”
